When Paul Charnetzki, a founding partner of Huron Consulting Group in Chicago, interviewed Mike Moore in 2002, they discovered that they shared not only a mutual passion for mathematics and economics, but also many mutual friends and experiences from their college days in Cambridge and Boston, MA.Mike joined the firm as a managing director tasked with building their economics practice, and he and Paul worked together at Huron for five years. Mike left in 2006 to join Chicago Partners (which was ultimately acquired by Navigant Consulting in 2008) and, in 2010, left to form his own firm, Charlottesville Partners (CVP).They were reunited as partners in 2015 when Charnetzki joined CVP. They work on cases together and often collaborate on their individual cases.Their long-time partnership is built on their intellectual curiosity, and a shared affinity for simple analyses, strong economic foundations, and defensible results.
